Crystal Lakes sits on Low Road at Fenstanton, between the market town of St Ives and Cambridge, just off the A14. It is a fishing-led site with two stocked lakes, and a separate area of caravan and tent pitches next to them.
Pitches have access to hook-up and water, and there is a toilet and shower block, a washing-up area and a laundry. Seasonal pitches are also let. Bookings can be made on the site's online calendar or by phone.
The camping area is a quiet one: noise should drop after 10pm, one car per pitch and extra vehicles in the visitor car park. Dogs are fine on a lead. Fishing is paid for separately, with day, night and 24-hour tickets, and residents get a cheaper day ticket. Holiday lodges being built on the same estate are for sale, not for holiday letting.
