  • Dogs welcome

Highfield Farm is a long-established touring park of about eight acres, run by a family on part of a working farm in the village of Comberton. Pitches run around the edge of the field with the middle left open, and hedges and conifers keep it sheltered. There are two separate tent areas as well as hardstanding and grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes, all with the option of a 10 amp hook-up.

It is a facilities-first park: four toilet and shower blocks with constant hot water, a launderette, three washing-up shelters, a motorhome service point, ice-pack freezing and a small reception shop selling basics and gas. A 1.5-mile walk loops round the farm perimeter, with benches along the way, and there is a dog exercise area. Cambridge is reached by the Madingley or Trumpington park and ride, and the park suits rallies. It opens from April, or Easter if that is earlier, to the end of October. Bookings are by phone or email, with a deposit by cheque or bank transfer.
