Escape Pods sits inside Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre near Shadwell, on the edge of Thetford Forest. It is a group-hire set-up: you book a whole glade, which gives you its nine pods, a heated log cabin, a campfire area and picnic benches to yourselves. Pine Glade sleeps up to 42 and Oak Glade up to 45, and booking both gives you the whole pod village for up to 87 people.
Bedding is provided, so nobody needs a sleeping bag. The log cabin has basic kitchen appliances, utensils, plates and cups, and a shared shower and toilet block with covered washing-up sinks serves both glades. Activities such as high ropes, zip wires, caving, canoeing and archery are run separately by the adventure centre and need booking ahead. There is no online booking: you ring or email to agree dates. Dogs, stag and hen parties and loud parties are not accepted.
