Hillside Farm is a small pop-up site run by a mother and son in a meadow next to their farmhouse near Market Weston on the Suffolk and Norfolk border. You choose between a family-friendly enclosed meadow and an open meadow with wider views across the fields, and you can park next to your tent. It is tents only, with no room for campervans or caravans.
Facilities are simple and a bit quirky: hot showers and portaloo-style toilets in a converted horsebox, a combined handwashing, washing-up and drinking water station, and a covered communal space with a sofa, tables, phone charging and a collection of old farm tools. Bell tents are pitched and ready, either empty or fully kitted out with a double bed, cooking kit and firewood. Up to two well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The site runs under a 60-day licence, so it is weekends only until the school holidays, when it opens seven days a week. Exclusive site hire is available for groups.
