Thorpe Forest is a Forest Holidays location in pine, heath and broadleaf woodland near Shadwell, close to the Norfolk and Suffolk border and Thetford Forest. It has 63 log cabins sleeping up to 10, from one to five bedrooms, and every cabin has a private hot tub. Some also have a log burner, gas barbecue or outdoor kitchen on the decking. There is no tent, caravan or motorhome camping here.
At the centre is the Forest Retreat, with all-day dining, and the location has bike hire, a play area and Forest Ranger activities, with canoeing on the River Thet, quad trekking and clay shooting nearby. The ground is flat, so it suits cycling. Pet-friendly cabins are available. A new cabin, The Kinwood, is being added.
