Swattesfield is a seven-acre field and woodland site in north Suffolk, run by a couple who also own a camping shop in Diss. There are no marked pitches: you pick a spot in the main field, or tuck a tent into the glade or woodland, with cars left in the car park for the glade and woodland areas. A gate leads straight onto the Thornham Walks network.
Alongside your own tent or campervan you can book fixed bell tents on decking, empty pre-pitched bell tents, two pixie huts and a hay cart, all with a log burner and electric, or an adults-only Eriba retro caravan. Facilities include a toilet and shower block, a covered communal kitchen with free gas stoves, an eco pizza oven, free wifi and a small camp shop. Fires are allowed in hired fire pits.
