Summerhill Farm is a working family farm just off the A38 at Peartree, a couple of miles from Ashburton and right next to River Dart Country Park. The camping field is a large, well-drained grass field at the bottom of the farm near the road, with a toilet and shower block, including accessible facilities, along one side.

Tents and tourers are both taken, but only by pre-booking, and there are eight electric hook-up points that need a deposit and are limited, so ask when you book. Pricing is per person rather than per pitch. Dogs are welcome on a lead (two per pitch) because there is livestock in the neighbouring fields, raised barbecues are fine, and campfires are only allowed on request and in a fire basket. The site opens April to September and uses an electronic gate that works from the mobile number given at booking.
