Ruda is a large holiday park right on Croyde Bay beach, now run by John Fowler Holidays (it used to be a Parkdean park). Most of it is holiday homes to rent: caravans from budget to platinum, lodges and larger holiday houses, with the Cascades indoor pool, a showbar, amusements, an adventure playground, a Nisa shop and a surf shop on site.
There is also a touring and camping area, listed by the operator as Ruda Touring. Grass pitches with 16 amp electric for tents and campervans sit in the Bray, Lyn and Taw fields with views over the bay, and a small number of tourer pitches at the edge of Taw field. Across the road behind the dunes, Croyde Burrows is a dedicated electric field for tourers and motorhomes only, no tents. In July and August a non-electric Surfers Paradise field opens nearest the beach for tents and campervans, with no pets.
