Rothiemurchus Camp and Caravan

Quiet camping and touring park in Caledonian pine forest at Coylumbridge near Aviemore, with a heated amenity block, launderette and no dogs in the tent area.

A woodland park a 20-minute stroll from the centre of the Rothiemurchus estate, tucked among old Scots pine, birch and juniper. Tents go in a woodland camping area with no hook-ups, while 17 level pitches with electric hook-up take tourers and motorhomes.

There is a heated amenity building with toilets, showers and dishwashing, plus a separate launderette. Walking and cycling trails start from the park, and Loch an Eilein and the Cairngorms are close by.

Pitches are fitted around the trees, so there is no online booking: you email or phone with your party size and unit so they can pick a suitable spot. It is shut in November. Dogs are welcome in motorhomes and caravans but not in the tent area, and fires and barbecues are banned everywhere.
