High Range has been run by the Vastano family since 1976 and sits among birch and heather at the foot of the Craigellachie nature reserve, on the edge of Aviemore and directly across from the road to the Cairngorm ski area. The touring park is a set of hardstanding-style bays with a power bollard and TV aerial point at each, a short walk from the village shops, and it takes caravans, motorhomes, campervans and RVs. Tents are not mentioned in the tariff, so check before you turn up with one.

The service block has individual shower and changing rooms, hairdryers, a laundrette with irons, a dishwashing room and a drive-over grey water drain for motorhomes. There is no charge for showers or awnings, and dogs stay free. A play park, secure bike store with a repair stand and an outdoor seating and barbecue area are on site. The same complex also lets nine self-catering chalets, two newer apartments and rooms in its lodge hotel, so a mixed group can stay together. It does not take stag or hen parties or groups, and the touring park is closed in November.
