River Wye Camping & Caravan Park
Riverside touring park at Symonds Yat West with 84 pitches, an on-site pub, arcade and canoe hire, and the Wye Valley walks starting at the gate.
- Dogs welcome
This is a big, busy touring field on the Herefordshire bank of the Wye at Symonds Yat West, where the river cruises, canoe hire and the start of the Symonds Yat walk are all within a couple of hundred yards. Pitches are split into sections: about 60 non-electric grass pitches for tents, caravans and campervans, nine electric grass pitches, ten mid-park hardstandings and five hardstandings right on the river bank, the last two reserved for caravans and motorhomes.
Beyond the pitches there is a leisure-park side to the place: a pub with live music on Saturdays, a cafe, takeaway and restaurant, an amusement arcade, an ice cream parlour and fishing on site. Noise rules differ by area, so say which section you want when booking; the electric section goes quiet at 10pm, the family field at 10.30pm and the group field at 11pm. Open fires are banned.
- Riverside hardstandings with electric looking over the Wye
- Canoe hire and river cruises a short walk away
- On-site pub, cafe, takeaway and arcade
- Symonds Yat walks start from the park
- Separate family and group fields with different quiet hours
