Hawthorne Cottage is a small ten-pitch site on the edge of the woods near Coleford, run by the owner on site. Every pitch is hardstanding with 16 amp hook-up and room for an awning, and it is aimed at caravans and motorhomes rather than tents.

It is for over-18s only, dogs and cats are welcome, and it is open all year including Christmas. A footpath leaves the site directly into the forest.

The shower block was rebuilt in 2024 with a hairdryer, there is indoor heated washing-up and a bike, boot and pet wash area, and Wi-Fi is free.
