Bracelands Campsite

Large Forestry England campsite in the Forest of Dean with 400-plus pitches, pods and safari tents, open all year. Dogs camp free.

  • Dogs welcome
  • Glamping

Bracelands is a big, open-all-year campsite on the edge of Berry Hill in the Forest of Dean, with over 400 pitches: gravel hardstanding with electric, grass with electric, and plain grass. Pitches are allocated on arrival, so you choose from what's free rather than being assigned a number. It sits in a low-light valley that's good for stargazing, with waymarked walking and cycling trails from the gate and the River Wye under a mile away.

Glamping runs to deluxe en-suite pods, five cosy pods and five safari tents. On site there is a shop with fresh bread, meat and milk, three shower blocks with family and accessible rooms, a laundry, a dog wash and a hut you can hire for barbecues. A pizza van calls most Saturdays. Dogs stay free on pitches (up to three), no generators are allowed and wood fires are banned, although barbecues are fine if raised.
