Deanwood sits about 560 feet up on the edge of the Forest of Dean, half a mile from Yorkley, with views west over the Lyd valley. The campsite shares a former equestrian estate with self-catering cottages and a conference barn. Pitches are a mix of grass and gravel, with 16 amp hook-ups on the caravan and motorhome pitches and a choice of electric and non-electric grass pitches for tents, tucked among beech hedging.
There are two heated toilet and shower blocks (one with an accessible toilet), wash-up rooms with fridge-freezers, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a bike wash and free wifi. Dogs are welcome on leads, with a one-acre field for off-lead exercise, and a walking and mountain bike route starts at the site gate. Firepits and wood can be hired, and the nearest shops and a pub are in Yorkley.
