Tresseck sits on a flat river meadow beside the Wye in Hoarwithy, roughly halfway between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. There are no marked pitches: you choose your own spot for a tent, trailer tent, folding camper, campervan or motorhome. Caravans and three-axle motorhomes are not allowed.

Toilets are an eco vacuum system, with token-operated showers and a wheelchair-only toilet and shower. There is no electric hook-up, though phones and battery packs can be charged at reception. A small café and bar run on site through the season, with pizza on Saturday nights, and the New Harp Inn is a two-minute walk away.

The river is the draw. Hereford Canoe Hire is based on site, you can launch your own canoe or SUP for a fee, and there is access for wild swimming and fishing. Campfires are allowed in hired or own fire bowls, and larger family groups can reserve a private zone of the field.
