Forest Gate has taken campers and caravans for over 40 years, in the three acres of grounds of a former Victorian rectory in Huntley. Numbers are kept low, with around 20 pitches, so it stays quiet. Reception is a small log cabin on the drive, where you book in and can get ice packs frozen.

There are flush toilets, electric showers with free hot water, hook-ups and drinking water points around the grounds, and a chemical disposal point. Huntley is on the bus routes to Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye, and the Forest of Dean is on the doorstep for walking. Dogs are accepted by arrangement, so phone first.
