Northfield is a small, family-run park of hire caravans and chalets in the seaside village of Borth, north of Aberystwyth, and it is a short walk to the beach. It is a self-catering place only: there are no touring or tent pitches. The caravans range from compact two-bedroom models to a three-bedroom family size, plus one adapted caravan with a ramp and extra-wide doors. Two three-bedroom chalets have a verandah and a full bath.
All units come with bedding, a kitchen, a TV and free Wi-Fi. The grounds are planted with a mix of native and tropical plants, and there is a launderette that doubles as a lending library of games and local information, free buckets, spades and nets, and a play area for young children. Dogs are accepted in most units for a nightly or weekly charge, and some caravans are kept strictly pet-free for allergy sufferers. Changeover is on a weekly basis, with a visit from the owners on arrival.
