Family-run farm campsite beside the beach near Tywyn, with sea views, fire pits and a hot-tub cottage on the same farm.

Cae Du is a beef and sheep farm in Rhoslefain, on the Cardigan Bay coast just north of Tywyn, and the campsite has been running since the late 1930s. Two camping fields look out to the Llyn Peninsula, with a private beach, sand and rock pools below. You choose your own pitch and park by your tent.

A central toilet block has hot water, coin-operated showers and hairdryers, and a utility room has a washer, dryer and two freezers for ice blocks. Campfires are allowed in the ready-made fire pits, and logs are £6 a bundle. The farm also lets a barn conversion, Ysgubor y Waun, which sleeps six with a hot tub. Booking is by phone only and the camping season runs Easter to October.
