Newgale Campsite has been taking campers since 1935 and sits across the road from two miles of surf beach, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path passing the gate. Most of the nine acres is flat, unmarked grass where you pick your own spot; a terraced corner at one end gives about thirteen pitches a view over the sea. There is a dog-free area and a dog-friendly area, and electric pitches (marked out in a 12m by 6m box) can be booked with or without a water tap.

The facilities block has coin-operated showers, a laundry, a free washing-up area and a freezer for ice blocks. The Landsker Line bar and takeaway on site serves breakfast rolls, coffee, pizza and real ale, so you can eat without leaving the field. The nearest proper shops are in Solva, about three miles away.
