Dogs welcome

Monkton Wyld sits inland in the Dorset AONB, about three miles from Charmouth and Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. Native woodland planting divides the 25 acres into small paddocks, which keeps things quiet. Pitches are grass or hardstanding, many with electric, up to a fully serviced pitch and jumbo hardstandings for big units. Reception staff will try to put you where you ask but you can't reserve a numbered pitch.

Dogs are a big part of the pitch: there is no charge for pets, a woodland dog walk lit with fairy lights at night and a fenced paddock where they can run off the lead. There is free park-wide wifi, a games room, a shop, two shower blocks and a few food vans visiting each week. Across the road you can also rent a holiday bungalow for four or a 17th-century farmhouse for up to nine. Non-members of the Camping and Caravanning Club can stay, but pay a non-member pitch fee in high season.
