Hentervene is a 15-acre private park a couple of miles inland from Crackington Haven on the north Cornwall coast, with Bude and Boscastle both a short drive away. Most of the pitches are owner-occupied holiday homes, but a handful are let by the week or short break: three timber lodges and one two-bedroom static caravan. There is no touring or camping field.

The lets are self-catering with bedding and towels included, central heating, free wifi and a balcony or garden with a barbecue. Apple Tree is the one to look at if you want a private electric hot tub in its own screened garden. Around the park there is a children's playground, an indoor games room, a laundry, a book swap, about four acres of woodland walk and a wildflower meadow. The sky is dark enough here that the owners make a point of the stargazing, and the bus stops at the gate.
