Ardgartan sits on the western shore of Loch Long, with pine-covered hills dropping to the water at the edge of Argyll Forest Park. There are forty cabins here, all with a private hot tub, and none of it is camping: you rent a cabin rather than pitch a tent.

Cabins range from one to three bedrooms and sleep up to six, with one wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch that has a hoist for the hot tub. On site you will find a restaurant, bike hire, an archery and axe-throwing area, ranger-led activities and a self-guided trail. Spa treatments and in-cabin food delivery can be booked ahead. Pet-friendly cabins are available.
