Firkin Point Motorhome Permit Area

Permit-only overnight motorhome and campervan bays beside Loch Lomond, bookable from March to September for £4.50 a night, with no facilities.

Firkin Point is a lochside car park on the A82 on the west shore of Loch Lomond, run by the National Park Authority. In the camping-management season it has marked bays where a motorhome or campervan can stay overnight with a permit. Tents are not allowed here.

Nothing is provided: no hook-ups, no toilets or showers, and bins and waste points may not be on site, so arrive self-sufficient and take your rubbish away. Bays fit vehicles up to 8m by 2.5m, awnings and generators are not allowed, and the permit covers 7pm to 10am only. You can stay in the car park by day if there is space, but normal car park charges apply.
