Argyll Caravan Park is on the shore of Loch Fyne just outside Inveraray, about 60 miles from Glasgow and 40 from Oban. The touring field is called Douglas Valley: every pitch is drive-on, drive-off and faces the loch. The first eleven are all gravel; the rest have gravel for the vehicle and grass beside it for an awning.
There are two toilet and shower blocks and a dishwashing room. The waste point is the eco type, so no blue chemical. A licensed lounge open to everyone serves snacks, home baking and drinks, with free wifi and a small play area. The laundrette takes tokens from reception and is open to the public.
Boat owners can use the slipway, free for guests and for a charge for day visitors, and the park suggests fishing from the shore. Most of the site is privately owned holiday homes, which are not for hire.
