Black Knowl Club Campsite is in the New Forest near Brockenhurst, off Aldridge Hill. It has 131 touring pitches, 97 of them hardstanding, and is open from late February to early January. Booking is for Club members only.
The forest tracks start at the gate for walkers, cyclists and riders, and bikes can be hired on site through an app. Brockenhurst village, with its restaurants and takeaways, is a walk away and the station is nearby. Stags can be heard in the forest in October.
Use the Club's approach directions rather than sat nav, and take the speed bumps on the Forestry Commission drive slowly.
