Beechwood Park is a 25-acre fishing and holiday park on Main Road at Elvaston, just outside Derby, with the Peak District within reach. Six lakes hold the fishing, and there is a tackle shop on site. The camping and touring area has over 100 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with and without electric hook-up, two toilet and shower blocks, Elsan points and fresh water taps.
For something with walls there are named glamping pods that sleep two and have electricity, and log cabins from two-berth up to six-berth. Touring pitches can be booked for any night of the week with arrival from noon, but weekends need two nights and bank holidays three. Prices on the website are starting figures and move with local events, so check before you go.
