Run by the Caravan and Motorhome Club on behalf of the racecourse, this site has 63 pitches, 59 for tourers and 4 for tents, with views of the main stand and the turf. Non-members can book. Thirsk's cobbled market square and the World of James Herriot are about a five-minute walk, and Tesco and Lidl face the entrance.
On race days campers have to move to the rally field by 10am the day before a meeting (the same day for evening meetings), with no electric hook-up there, then move back afterwards. The 2027 dates are published on the page. The site works as an A1 overnight stop and as a base for the Dales, the North York Moors and abbeys such as Fountains and Rievaulx.
