South Devon Camping

South Devon Camping is run by the Berryman family on Terawhiti Farm, a working beef and veg farm on the edge of South Milton in the South Hams. Pitches are all at least 10m by 10m, so there is room to spread out, and one price covers a tent or a campervan with up to five people. There is no electric hook-up, no street lighting and no touring caravans, just open grass, sea and valley views and a farm shop shed selling their own beef and pork.

There are two fields. The main field has the hot showers (coin-operated), eco loos, a sink area and free communal fridges and freezers, while the smaller Garden Field has loos and a fridge and freezer, with the showers a few metres away. The beach at South Milton Sands is about ten minutes on foot and the village pub and shop are fifteen. Because of planning limits the site opens for only a set number of nights a year, so check dates before planning.
