Alston Farm is a working farm in its own small valley near Malborough, a short drive from Salcombe in the South Hams AONB. The camping fields include a level main area with a stream running through it, a hedged tent corner beside the children's play area, and Two Folds, a south-facing field whose top hedge looks over Blanksmill Creek on the Salcombe estuary. Jacobs Park Meadow, a sloping field further from the toilet blocks, opens for July and August.

There are grass and hardstanding pitches, with or without 6-amp hook-up, plus seasonal touring pitches and a separate field for organised groups of 40 or more. Electric and hardstanding pitches should be booked ahead; grass pitches can be turned up for. There are no fixed check-in or check-out times for tents and tourers.

Three toilet and shower blocks (showers 20p), laundry, a freezer for ice packs, a small shop in peak weeks, a play area with zip wire and a wooded dog walk by the stream cover the basics. Dogs are welcome on leads. Two static caravans are also let, sleeping up to six, among a larger number of privately owned statics and lodges.
