Higher Rew is a five-acre park run by three generations of the Squire family on the hill above South Sands, just outside Malborough. The slope has been terraced into around 90 level pitches, most with a view over the South Sands valley and 82 with electric hook-up.
Tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans are all taken, split between a large main park, a bungalow field for tents and campervans only and a small reservoir field. The shower and toilet blocks are in converted farm buildings at the entrance, with free hot water at the basins, a laundry, a shop with gas, and a play barn with table tennis, skittles and pool.
South Sands beach and the Salcombe ferry are about a mile away, Soar Mill Cove is within walking distance, and footpaths lead to the coast path. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and adjoining fields are set aside for walking them.
