Pithead is a small family-run site in the grounds of a former cider apple orchard at Marsh Green, between Exeter and Ottery St Mary. Tent pitches sit in a mown-path meadow with long views towards Dartmoor. Cars are left in a separate field next to the meadow, so you unload at the gate and carry your kit in.

The communal area has a covered kitchen bar with a cooker, sink and solar-powered fridge, a big shared fire pit and barbecue, a hot outdoor shower, two compost toilets and a rough grass tennis court. Small raised fires or barbecues are allowed at your pitch. Campervans park in a separate field with no hook-ups, caravans are not taken, and there is also a shepherd's hut and three bell tents let through Airbnb.
