Bowhayes Farm is a working cider orchard and tree nursery in Venn Ottery, in the East Devon AONB, run by the owners who live on the farm. Everything is small: a handful of tent pitches spaced well apart, three furnished bell tents and one shepherd's hut, all among the apple trees.

It is run as a calm, adult-focused place. Guests must be 13 or over (under-18s need an adult), there are no facilities for young children, and quiet hours are in force overnight. Dogs are welcome on the tent pitches on a lead, but not in the bell tents; the shepherd's hut may take one by arrangement.

Shared facilities are rustic but well kept: unisex hot showers, toilets, a water station for drinking water and washing up, a field kitchen for glamping guests, and a small coffee deck selling drinks, snacks and a continental breakfast. Each pitch or bell tent gets its own fire pit. Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast are around 20 minutes by car.
