Pentre Bach is a one-acre tent field next to the owners' house and bunkhouse, down a 200-metre drive between Waunfawr and Betws Garmon. It is tents only: no caravans or trailer tents, and cars are left in the parking area next to the field. It suits walkers on the Pilgrim's Way or Slate Trail, and one-night stays are welcome.

The field has its own solar-powered compost toilet block, a second block with hot water and a washing-up area, and a separate shower block with free hot showers that campers share with the bunkhouse guests. Dogs are allowed for a small charge if you say when booking. The pub is a ten-minute walk. The bunkhouse sleeps up to 16 in a mixed dorm, with a kitchen, drying room and fire pit. The campsite shuts from 31 October until 1 March.
