Neddy Green is a smallholding on the edge of Lytchett Matravers that doubles as a small nature reserve. The camping is deliberately simple: pitch your tent in the field, use the composting toilets and cold-water sinks, and wash under a gas-heated outdoor shower. On clear days the view reaches over the Purbeck Hills towards Corfe Castle.
Cars stay in a separate parking field, though you can drive on to unload. Mobile fire pits can be hired, wood is sold by the bag, and there is a sheltered communal seating area. Animals live on the holding, so dogs are not allowed. The season is short and varies by year (3 to 30 August in 2026), and booking in advance is essential.
