Redcliffe Farm is a grass campsite on the bank of the River Frome, about a kilometre from the centre of Wareham. Without a hook-up you simply pitch where you like within the allocated areas, and there is a separate quiet field at the top of the site for small tents only. The ground is mostly level, with views over Poole Harbour, the river and the Purbeck hills.

There is no shop on site; instead you walk the towpath into town, which most people end up enjoying. The site has a toilet block with showers, a laundry room, hair dryers and electric hook-ups. The big draw for boaters is a private slipway about 100m from the entrance, from which it is a short trip down the river into Poole Harbour. It is open to day visitors as well as campers. Booking is by phone only.
