Mill Farm Glamping has been taking guests since 2007 on an organic farm at Poulshot, about ten minutes from Devizes in Wiltshire. Everything here is self-catering and fully kitted out, with bed linen, towels, a proper kitchen and a welcome pack, so there are no pitches to bring a tent to. The headline stay is King Arthur's Willow Treehouse, three storeys high with a private hot tub and a deck barbecue. The Shire Houses are turf-roofed hobbit houses with their own hot tub and a gas fire, and take dogs.

For more space there are safari-style canvas lodges with wood-burning stoves and bunk barns, the two-floor Squirrel Lodge for up to eight, and Mill Farm House, an old farmhouse with a games room and hot tub. The farm runs alpaca walks, archery, donkey rides and tractor tours, and Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock and Bath are all within easy reach. Cars are not allowed into the lodge field, so you wheelbarrow your luggage across from reception.

Prices are shown live in the booking calendar for each stay. Short breaks of 2 to 3 nights are available outside peak weekends and school holidays. A non-refundable deposit secures a booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.
