Middle Stone Farm is a working farm in West Somerset, a few miles from Exmoor National Park and about 25 minutes from the coast. Two glamping fields each hold three big safari tents with their own bathroom, kitchen and wood stove. Outside each is a firepit, hammock and a Swedish-style wood-fired hot tub, which is an optional extra priced by length of stay. There is also a separate cabin with a fenced garden, and a stable cottage that is released only when everything else is booked.

Four of the tents take dogs, and there is a fenced paddock where they can run off the lead. Elsewhere on the farm dogs stay on a lead because of the alpacas and other animals. Children get farm tours and play areas, there is a small shop for essentials, and two EV chargers.

Bedding is a bring-your-own affair unless you pay to hire it. Check-in is from 4pm, tents open April to the start of November, and you should arrive in daylight as the fields are unlit.
