Lowtrow Cross is a small, quiet adults-only site on the B3190 near Upton, on the edge of Exmoor, run by resident wardens. Nobody under 17 is allowed, and there is no games room or entertainment, just a calm field and a pub, the Bittescombe Inn, next door.

Caravans and motorhomes sit on gravel hardstandings with 16 amp electric, TV point, water and grey waste drainage. Tents have a separate sloping field and only small to medium tents are accepted. The shop sells breakfast basics, Calor gas and local produce, and there is a freezer, microwave and laundry for guests. Dogs stay free and there is a small dog walk on site, with off-lead walking on Haddon Hill and around Wimbleball Lake a few minutes away.
