Moorhouse is a working family farm at Holford on the edge of the Quantock Hills, with free-range chickens and ducks wandering the site. The pitches are large, level and well drained, and you can book with or without electric. In 2026 the pitches are for tents, trailer tents and small campervans only. A private farm track leads out onto the hills for walking, mountain biking and riding, and the Plough pub is about fifteen minutes on foot.
Besides pitches there are two lockable wigwam pods (Woodlands and Shervage), and Dolly, a vintage caravan towed to a pitch of your choice with a wood-burning stove. A heated toilet and shower block has a family room, and there is a laundry, a barbecue pavilion with a communal fridge-freezer and a small shop at reception. Dogs are welcome on pitches but must be on a lead because of the free-range animals, and they cannot stay in the pods or the caravan. Fires are allowed in the large tent field with hired fire pits.
