Longthorns is a working farm in rural Dorset, about 350 yards up the road from the Monkey World entrance and a few minutes' drive from Wool station. Tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans use large camping fields, fenced and backed by woodland, with electric hook-up on some pitches. Alpacas graze the fields and there is a woodland walk on site.

The shower and toilet block has separate men's and women's sections and an accessible room, there are compost loos, chemical disposal points in two fields and a motorhome water fill. Dogs are welcome and have an enclosed paddock to run off the lead. Fire pits can be hired and logs bought at reception, and quiet time starts at 10pm.

A separate glamping field has shepherd huts, TipeeCo tipis and small pods, all off-grid and solar-charged, with a kitchen kit and fire pit in most. Bring your own duvet or sleeping bag. The farm also holds weddings and winter events, so check the calendar before booking a quiet weekend.
