Little Downash is a 24-acre family farm on Rickney Lane on the edge of Hailsham, camping since 2014. Pitches are spread over several fields, including one by a lake and a woodland area where you can camp with prior permission. Numbers are kept small, and the farm has miniature Shetland ponies, donkeys and chickens that guests can meet if they ask.

Besides tent, caravan and motorhome pitches there are ten 5m bell tents, each sleeping four and supplied with beds, bedding, towels, a stove and a fire pit, and a three-bedroom cottage. Facilities are a toilet and shower block, drinking water points and a chemical disposal point; there is no hook-up, as the farm pitches itself as unplugged. Dogs are welcome on leads, and overnight guests can fish the lake for a daily charge.
