Bluebell Coppice Park sits on a lane outside Crowhurst, about seven minutes by car from Battle and fifteen from Hastings. Ten acres of ancient woodland and a small catch-and-release fishing lake surround the pitches, and the owners keep a list of what turns up: rabbits, foxes, herons, dragonflies and glow worms in summer.

Tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans can all pitch here, on grass or hardstanding, with or without electric. A handful of pitches come with a private heated bathroom with its own shower, which suits tents and small campers. If you would rather not bring kit, there are seven furnished bell tents (one with a wood burner and its own bathroom) and a group of woodland lodges with kitchenettes and showers.

Shared facilities include individual toilet and shower rooms, a family wet room that is wheelchair accessible, washing-up sinks, a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, an honesty shop open round the clock, a play park and fire pits to hire. Crowhurst station is about a kilometre away.
