Riverdale Cottage is a smallholding of about seven acres on Kent Street at Sedlescombe, on the A21 between Battle and Hastings. It is licensed for five caravans or motorhomes and ten tents, and the owners run it as a quiet, home-style site rather than a big touring park. The camping field is level and set back from the road, and there is a bluebell woodland walk in spring.
Facilities are small but include hook-ups, a toilet and shower (50p), a disposal point, washing-up area and a parent and child room with baby changing. Eggs, pork and lamb from the farm and seasonal vegetables are sold on site. Dogs are not allowed because of the livestock. The site belongs to a camping club and bookings are by phone only with a membership number.
