Freshwinds is a small campsite on Pickham Farm at Pett, in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty above Pett Level. Tent campers choose between 14 large pitches in the tree-ringed Mill Garden, with a stream along three sides, and four more in the quieter Stream Field. Every pitch has its own fire pit and logs are sold by the bag. There is no electric hook-up, and cars stay in the car park once unloaded.
Mill Garden has a camp kitchen with hot-water sinks, compost toilets, two hot showers and a children's play area. Four yurts and a shepherd's hut add a roof, each with its own compost toilet and shower, a wood burner or stove and a fire pit. Children can follow a fairy trail between the campsite and the farm, which has cows, sheep, pigs and donkeys. Dogs are not allowed anywhere, and there is no shop on site.
- Fire pit on every tent pitch
- Four yurts and a shepherd's hut, each with own toilet and shower
- Fairy trail and play area for children
- Working farm with sheep, pigs and donkeys
