The Hare and Hounds is a former pub on the Rye Road at Rye Foreign, about two miles from Rye. The camping is split across two fields of 2.5 acres with 30 unallocated pitches, 16 of them with electric hook-up, for tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes up to 6m. Caravans are not accepted. Amplified music is banned and groups are not taken, so it stays quiet.

Facilities are six flushing toilets, four hot showers, hot-water washing-up sinks, a grey and chemical waste point, a communal fridge-freezer and microwave, Wi-Fi in communal areas, two EV chargers and a covered bike rack with e-bike charging. Fires are by hired brazier only. A footpath across the fields takes about 45 minutes to Rye, and the 313 bus stops outside. The site also has a shepherd's hut at the bottom of the camping field and four en-suite B&B rooms.
