Hillhead Caravans is a small row of six-berth rental caravans above Achmelvich Bay, about 150 metres from the white shell-sand beach and three miles from Lochinver. The Macleod family has let caravans here since 1965, and many guests come back year after year.
Each caravan has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a living area that converts to sleep two more, a kitchen area, and its own shower and toilet. Heating, lighting, gas and electricity are included in the weekly price, there is Freeview TV, and you park beside your van. The shop, takeaway and launderette are on the neighbouring site. It is for families only, with no groups and no dogs, and tents are not taken.
