Ardmair sits on a small peninsula in Loch Kanaird, with the Coigach hills across the water and the Summer Isles beyond. Pitches run from sheltered grass for tents to a hardstanding area for larger vans, and the front row looks straight onto the pebble beach. The seafront pitches are open to the wind, so expect a breezy night in a roof tent or a light tent. It is a handy overnight stop on the North Coast 500, and Ullapool is five minutes away by car, though there is no footpath.
Next to the pitches are two lodges, six chalets and a holiday home, all on the shore and let for self-catering year round. Facilities include toilet and shower blocks at two points, a coin-operated laundry, a small shop and a coffee shop, and a children's play area. Dogs stay free on the camping pitches, on a lead; the chalets take pets by arrangement while the lodges and holiday home do not. Camping bookings are online only.
