Grange Farm Campsite
Quiet working-farm site near Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex, with electric pitches in three grass fields, about 25 minutes from the Harwich ferry.
See all 12 photos- Dogs welcome
Grange Farm Campsite is set in a small working farm on the edge of Thorpe-le-Soken, a short drive from Clacton, Frinton and Walton-on-the-Naze. Pitches are spread over three grass fields, Cherry, Oak and Brambles, each with its own toilet and shower block. Most pitches come with an electric hook-up, an awning and room for one car, and there is a cheaper non-electric economy option and a one-person biker pitch.
It is a calm, adults-first sort of place: no play area, no group bookings and gates locked at 11pm. Campers often use it as a stopover before the Harwich ferry, and early departures can be arranged with reception. The village has a railway station with trains to Clacton, and public footpaths run through the farm for dog walks.
- Electric hook-up on nearly every pitch
- Three grass fields, each with its own toilet block
- About 25 minutes to Harwich ferry terminal
- Footpaths from the farm into the village
- Early departures for ferry sailings can be arranged
