Fortrose Bay Campsite
Small seasonal touring site on the pebble shore at Fortrose on the Black Isle, with dogs free, electric on every pitch and dolphin-watching nearby.
- Dogs welcome
- Near beach
Fortrose Bay sits right on the pebble beach looking across the Moray Firth, a short walk from the village of Fortrose with its shops, cafe and restaurants. The owners took it over in 2016. It is licensed for 50 touring pitches, all with 16 amp electric hook-up, and takes caravans, campervans, motorhomes and small tents. Chanonry Point, the best-known spot on this coast for watching bottlenose dolphins, is nearby.
There are two toilet and shower blocks, a heated shower shack that suits families, an accessible wet room, and a kitchen and laundry area with a washer-dryer and fridge-freezer. Dogs are welcome and cost nothing. A quiet public road runs through the site, so there is no play area and ball games are not allowed. It is for holidaymakers only, with a one-month maximum stay and no large groups.
