Barrow Campsite is on Kinchyle Farm outside Nairn, next to a Bronze Age burial mound, with Highland cattle in the fields and a small pond beside the pitches. It has hardstanding touring pitches of 12m by 7m, grass pitches overlooking the pond, an off-grid grass area tucked behind a hill and three glamping pods.

The facilities are new and well kept: toilet and shower blocks with accessible and baby-changing rooms, token-operated laundry, covered washing-up, free wifi and a licensed shop selling local food and drink. There is a play park and a communal bothy with a south-facing terrace and a shared barbecue. The site is cashless.

The pods sleep two, are heated and have a kitchenette, but are strictly dog-free. Dogs are fine on the camping pitches. The site is open from late March to the end of October, and also stores caravans and motorhomes.

Prices are shown in the online booking system for your dates. A 25% deposit secures a booking (minimum £20 touring, £50 pods) and the balance is due 7 days before arrival. Bedding hire for pods is £12 per stay.
